Comprehensive Paediatric Care

A skipped nap, a new rash, a growth chart that looks different to last time. Every parent notices the small things, and every small thing deserves a proper look.

At Dr Angela Colquhoun's practice, comprehensive paediatric care covers the full spectrum of a child's health, from routine check-ups and preventative care to the diagnosis and management of acute illness, chronic conditions and more complex medical concerns. The aim is always the same: to understand your child fully, not just the symptom that brought you in.

What To Expect

What Does Comprehensive Paediatric Care Involve?

Comprehensive care means looking at your child as a whole person, not just the symptom in front of you. Growth, development, nutrition, sleep and emotional wellbeing are all considered alongside the reason for the visit, so that nothing gets missed along the way.

Each consultation ends with a clear explanation of what was found and what happens next.

Your Visit

What Can You Expect During A Visit?

Consultations generally last around 30 minutes, giving enough time to talk through your concerns without feeling rushed. Dr Angela explains findings in plain language and works with you to build a treatment plan that fits your child and your family, with follow-up guidance for what to watch for at home.

If anything changes before your next scheduled visit, you are welcome to call and check in rather than wait it out.

Continuity Of Care

What Continuity Of Care Looks Like

Seeing the same paediatrician over time means less repeating of history at every visit and more familiarity with what is normal for your child.

  1. 1Records, growth patterns and past concerns are all considered together
  2. 2It's often easier to notice small changes early
  3. 3Over several years, this builds into a fuller understanding of your child that a single appointment simply cannot provide
