Meet Dr Angela

Qualifications: MBChB (University of Pretoria), FCPaed (SA).

Dr Angela Colquhoun was born and raised in Pretoria. She completed her medical studies at the University of Pretoria. She went on to complete her specialist paediatric training through the College of Medicine of South Africa and the College of Paediatricians. Today, she has the privilege of caring for children and families in the community she has always called home, an area she knows well and feels a genuine connection to.

Dr Angela is the proud mom of two children, an experience that has deepened her understanding of the joys, challenges and concerns that come with parenthood. This shapes the practical, grounded way she supports the families in her care, and it means she approaches every consultation with a genuine sense of what parents are going through, not only from a clinical perspective but from lived experience too.

She pays close attention to detail and takes the time to understand the complete picture for each child, so that every child is seen as an individual and every parent feels heard and informed. Questions are never treated as an interruption, whether they come up during a consultation or in a follow-up call afterwards. She takes the time to explain findings in plain language, so that parents leave each consultation with a clear idea of what happens next.

Outside the practice, Dr Angela has a deep love of animals and enjoys spending time with close friends.

Practice Manager

Diddie is the practice manager at Dr Angela Colquhoun Incorporated. She manages the accounts, oversees the finances and keeps the daily running of the practice organised and up to date. Her warmth and steady, hard-working nature are valued by the whole team, and families often deal with her directly on administrative matters.

Juanita Olckers

Practice Sister

Juanita is the practice sister and a familiar, reassuring voice to many of the families who visit. She assists with patient enquiries, coordinates care, and helps children feel calm and comfortable during their visits. She also manages patient measurements, chronic medication motivations, correspondence and administrative duties, and is often the first person parents speak to when a question comes up between appointments.

Dane Dippenaar

Receptionist

Dane is the practice receptionist and is often the first friendly face patients and their families see when they arrive. Kind, caring and compassionate, she goes out of her way to make people feel welcome and supported from the moment they walk through the door. She manages appointments, helps coordinate the daily patient flow and is always willing to assist with a booking, answer a question or make a plan when something unexpected comes up.

France Janse van Rensburg

Evening and After-Hours Support

France is the newest member of the team, providing support during evening and after-hours consultations. She welcomes every family with a warm, cheerful manner and brings a steady, positive presence to the practice during the hours when families need that reassurance most.

Precious Mokoena

Practice Support Assistant

Precious has been a dedicated and dependable member of the team for eight years. She takes great pride in keeping our practice clean, welcoming and well organised, while also ensuring that our essential stock is kept up to date. With her warm smile and cheerful nature, she spreads kindness and joy wherever she goes.
